I've always liked the lines of this plane and wanted to add
it to the collection. On deciding a scheme, I went for the
less obvious. This scheme represents the Group de
Chasse Doret of the free France. These planes were
reclaimed from the Germans and put back into service
with their famous mottle jobs still applied. Extras include
scratchbuilt seat belts, pitot tube and gun barrels. The
finish is Model Master and Tamiya acrylics. Some light
post shading was added for weathering along with
pastels. The wheels/tail wheel received my usual
airbrushed dirt/dust treatment.

Colors used: Light Sea Gray, Neutral Gray, Medium
Green, Brown, Dark Gray (cockpit)

The kit is simple and well done. The fit is great,
especially the wing root/fuselage seams. The optional
flaps down addition is a nice touch as well. Since the
wheels are at an unusual canter, it takes some time to
get them lined up correctly and evenly. I recommend the
kit to all skill levels but don't recommend the scheme!
